Biography
Cho was born and grew up in a small southern town of Korea called Gwangju. It was there that she made her happiest childhood memories surrounded by nature: rivers, beaches, mountains. Moving to Seoul at the beginning of middle school changed her life drastically, forcing her to adjust to a metropolitan existence.
Cho attended Hongik University in Seoul, and it was in her sophomore year that she was first exposed to the versatility of clay in a lesson on traditional Korean pottery. Since then, Cho has been immersed in clay: learning as much as she could about the medium and got a BFA. She then moved to California, where she studied with internationally renowned artists, including Robert Brady, Peter Vandenberg, Stephen Kaltenbach, and Oliver Jackson, continue to create art while raising two kids with her husband, and teaching others how to create with and love the medium as well.
